Synopsis

Mariano survives selling dreadful cassettes at roadhouses. One night he’s driving along, slightly tipsy, and his car ends up in an illicit cannabis plantation that the police is just about to set on fire. The resultant fragrant smoke has a special effect on Mariano that makes him think he’s seen an apparition of the Virgin Mary. So he tells the inhabitants of a local town and some people who are taking part in a religious procession, praying for rain. Thanks to the care of a nun and the services of a self-styled showman, Mariano suddenly becomes a local Saint.
